Question 1: I asked the Gender of my Participants to see whether there was a Correlation between males and Females within college and to see if they had different views. Out of the 20 Students, 11 were Boys and 9 were girls, I asked people at Random to make sure that my results were reliable.
Question 2: I asked Participants how old they were, to ensure my topic was relevant to the correct age group and so that I knew who my main target audience was among the varied ages. Out of my group of Students, the majority of them were 16 years old while only 5 out of the 20 participants were 18 and 6 were 17 years old.
Question 3: I was asking my group whether they read a college magazine to see how many people have done, and to see how many didn’t, in which I would set out to persuade them to by including what they would wish to see. I could also see how many people had knowledge, or a strong opinion on what they were being questioned about. From my Results 70% had at least read one college magazine which means that 30% of people asked weren’t satisfied.
Question 4: From my Audience, I would like to see would persuade them into buying a magazine and what they see as needed in a Magazine, by selecting typical things you see in magazines anyway I asked which they would most like to see within it. With 10 people saying Quizzes its evident that they would like to use the Magazine at an Entertainment value as quizzes was closely followed by Games with 7 people wanting them.
Question 5: The Magazine is also very much about the presentation and by selecting a random set of colours which could be used as themes and asking peoples preferences with also having an Option for other which was for their input. With half of the participants voting for Black and Blue as a base its clear that they would like quite dark colours whether that is based on personal opinion or dislike to the others could be questioned.
Question 8: In coherence with question 9, Question 8 asks the Students what they want the overall message of the Magazine to be, and with the more students wanting 25% Educational, its clear that they don’t want the Magazine to be overruled by education but they still want an element of it included.
Question 9: In relation to Question 9, It’s clear that more of the students would like a more entertaining rather than educational Magazine with 6 students voting that 75% of the magazine should be entertainment.
Question 10: This Question was asked simply to get what the Audience wanted as an overall perspective either Simple or Complex. With The majority wanting a Simple layout means that they don’t want an easy and affective college magazine which is informative.
Question 11: Whether people will buy the Magazine would depend on Money and when the students receive their money, so by asking them how frequently they would like it to be Published, It makes it clear to me how interested and willing they are in it. It also ensures the editors and publishers involved know how long they have to produce the magazine. With the Majority saying Every Term the magazine looks to be something that a lot of work would go into as there is enough time to get it ready.
